Study Overview

Eurofins Alba are inviting female volunteers with dry to very dry legs to take part in a 12-hour moisturisation study. The objective of the study is to evaluate the moisturisation potential of a product over a 12-hour time period of test materials (with an untreated control site). Corneometer® measurements will be taken at predetermined time points.

Recruited volunteers will be asked to perform a wash-out phase prior to study commencement. They will be asked not to apply any moisturisers or use moisturising products on your legs for 3 days prior to their screening appointment and for the duration of the study.

Volunteers will attend a screening visit on Wednesday, 10 December 2025. This visit will last approximately 1 hour (appointment options are between 7am to 9am, and 4pm to 6pm). If eligible, volunteers will return for a main day on Monday, 15 December 2025.

Baseline (0h) Corneometer® measurements will be taken from the sites on the skin. The test materials will then be applied to the legs by test personnel. One area on the legs will remain untreated, designated as the untreated control site. Volunteers will have further Corneometer® measurements taken at pre-determined timepoints.

Volunteers will remain at the test centre until the 12h assessment has been completed on day one.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

On day one of this study please bring enough food and drink with you for the full 14 hours as you will not be able to leave the test centre

Expenses

If you attend your screening visit but are not eligible, you will receive £10.

If you are eligible at the screening visit but are not accepted on the main day, you will receive £60.

Upon completion of the study, you will be able to receive £120.
