Eurofins Alba - Volunteers Code of Conduct & Unacceptable Behaviour
Eurofins Alba welcomes and encourages all registered volunteers to take part in our studies and want to make every contact you have with us a positive experience.
Our volunteer Code of Conduct is intended to provide clear guidance as to the standards of behaviour expected from everyone attending our test centre.
We ask our volunteers to:

Treat our employees’ other volunteers and any visitors with courtesy and respect when attending our test centre.

Use our test centre, equipment, and facilities in an appropriate manner.

Report any incidents or concerns about the conduct of others to one of our employees immediately.
General Nuisance & Disruption

Use of any inappropriate or offensive language which causes offence and distress to other volunteers’ staff and customers.

Disruption to other volunteers’, staff and customers through inappropriate behaviour or aggression (for example, over rowdiness, slamming doors, making excessive noise, intentionally restricting access to facilities for others).

Any behaviour which puts the Health and Safety of themselves, or others at risk.
Non- Physical Abuse/Threatening Behaviour

Abusive, threatening, and personal remarks and statements made directly at other volunteers’ staff or customers.

Any hate crime related behaviour.

Any form of harassment.

Any forms of non-physical aggression.
Physical Abuse / Threatening Behaviour / Criminal Activity

Actual physical contact with other volunteers’ staff or customers which is intended to injure and/or intimidate such as spitting, pushing, or striking (This may also lead to criminal charges).

Any criminal activity including drug and alcohol related behaviour.
Vandalism / Theft

Deliberately causing damage to the test centre or its contents, or fixture and fittings (for example, breaking windows, writing graffiti).

Theft of Eurofins Alba property or other volunteers’ property (this may also lead to

criminal charges).

Volunteers who experience, or witness, such incidents of unacceptable behaviour are encouraged to report them to a member of staff so that action can be taken.
Whilst incidents are few, if our volunteer code of conduct is breached, we may take the following actions to maintain a safe environment for our other volunteers and employees:

You may be removed from our panel and blacklisted which means you will no longer be allowed to enter our test centre or take part in studies.

We may contact the police to report any aggressive incidents or breaches of the law.
Study Compliance
It is essential that volunteers taking part in our studies follow the instructions/usage provided by the test personnel, this includes attending their appointments on time and adhere to all study restrictions. Volunteers who to not comply with the study rules will be withdrawn from the study without payment.
Cancellation/Guidance
We state on our recruitment confirmation emails that if for any reason volunteers are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, we request at least 48 hours’ notice. They can inform us by email (albavolunteers@cpt.eurofinseu.com) or telephone (08007561046). Failure to comply with the cancellation rules may affect future participation in studies.
