217621 - Healthy Scalp Study - Study Details and Application - £95

Study Overview

Eurofins Alba are looking for volunteers without any conditions or dandruff on their scalp for a Healthy Scalp Study. The purpose of the study is to identify the best solution for scalp assessments by testing how well two ethanol‑in‑water solutions are tolerated during buffer scrub bio‑sampling. Scalp redness (erythema) and dryness will be visually checked at several points: before sampling, immediately after, after a double control wash and hair drying, and again 24 and 48 hours after the procedure.

Volunteers will attend up to five visits at the study centre. The screening visit can take place on either Monday, 13 April 2026 or Tuesday, 14 April 2026, during which scalp condition and general health will be assessed. If eligible, volunteers will return about one week later for the buffer scrub bio‑sampling and scalp assessments. Follow‑up visits will take place 24 and 48 hours after the procedure, with two scheduling options available.

If needed, volunteers may be asked to return for an additional visit 72 hours after the buffer scrub procedure. This will only be requested by the Project Manager if further monitoring or management of any adverse effects is required.
