Blood Sampling Study

This study is looking for

• Aged 18+

• Have been diagnosed with Long COVID, Lyme Disease or ME/CFS
   

Participant Information
Blood samples are required from people diagnosed with long COVID, Lyme disease or ME/CFS for use in a research project where a new diagnostic test is being developed and evaluated for use in the early detection of these conditions.

Taking part will involve reading a participant information sheet and reading and signing a consent form to say you understand the procedures. Volunteers who are eligible to participate will have their height and weight measured before completing questionnaires about their symptoms and having blood samples taken. This investigation will involve enrolling only people who have been diagnosed with one of the above conditions.

   Our immune system is important in helping us recover from infections. Sometimes, the immune system can overreact which may lead to symptoms that are associated with conditions such as long COVID, Lyme disease and ME/CFS.

   Blood samples from people with persistent symptoms associated with long COVID, Lyme disease and ME/CFS will be collected and used by researchers to evaluate a new test for these conditions.  This test may be used in the future to help accelerate the diagnosis and provide appropriate clinical care for patients.
