Moisturisation Study - Expenses £100
We are looking for females age 18-65 with very dry skin on their lower legs to take part in a moisturisation study. The objective of the study is to evaluate the moisturisation potential of a product over 24-hour time period.
Recruited subjects will be asked to perform a 3 day wash-out phase prior to study commencement. They will be asked not to apply any moisturisers or use moisturising products on your lower legs during this wash-out phase and for the duration of the study.
Visit 1 – This visit will take approx. 45 Minutes You will be required to attend a screening visit on Friday 18 June 2021 and your main visit will be on Monday 21 June 2021. If your legs are not dry enough and you do not pass the screening visit you will receive £10 expenses for attending visit 1.
Visit 2 – This visit will take approx. 7.5 Hours Monday 21 June 2021 - Baseline (0h) Corneometer® measurements will be taken from the sites on the skin. The test materials will then be applied to the legs by test personnel. One area will remain untreated, designated as the untreated control site. Subjects will have further Corneometer® measurements taken at pre-determined timepoints. Subjects will remain at the test centre until the 6h assessment has been completed.
Visit 3 – This visit will take approx. 1 Hour On visit 3 Tuesday 22 June 2021 you will be required to return by appointment from 9am onwards, where the assessment will be repeated. The visit will take approx. 1 hour.
Visit 4 – This visit will take approx. 1 Hour On visit 3 Wednesday 23 June 2021 you will be required to return by appointment from 9am onwards, where the assessment will be repeated. The visit will take approx. 1 hour.
