What is Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)?
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by painful, swollen lumps that can break open and release fluid or pus. It is also known as acne inversa and typically occurs in areas where skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin and breast area.
Study Infomation
We are looking for females aged 18-65 with active Hidradenitis to take part in our biopsy study, you will be required to attend our Edinburgh test centre on one occasion to provide 3x4mm skin biopsy samples.
This study visit will last approx. 2hours and 30minutes.
Before attending your screening visit you will receive full volunteers information via email.
The purpose of you taking part in this clinical procedure is to provide fresh tissue biopsy samples for use in an external research study.
How much expense’s will I receive for taking part?
On completion of this study, you will receive £240 expenses in the form of a cheque in your own name.
